Trainers Profile

Ms. Sadia Asif is Founding Director of UMT’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). She customizes and tailors the content of the workshops to the needs of the intended participants. She is the first ISW certified facilitator in Pakistan. She has MA Applied Linguistics from Canada and MA English Literature from Pakistan. She also holds Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education.

Dr. Naveed Yazdani is Director of School of Professional Advancement (SPA), University of Management & Technology (UMT). He is an Educationist, Consultant, Speaker, Trainer and Editor-in Chief: Organization Theory Review (OTR), specialist in Consultancy, Change Management, Organizational Development and Organization Theory. He received his MS Management from University of Management & Technology, Lahore, MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and MBBS from King Edward Medical College, Lahore.

Dr. Adnan Abid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UMT. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Politecnico di Milano (Polytechnic University of Milan). He is also the Director of Academics and Student Affairs for the Software Engineering Program. His research areas include data management, information retrieval, pedagogical issues in Computer Science, and Sign Language translation and tools.

Mr. Umer Ayub is an Assistant Professor in UMT’s School of Business and Economics. He earned an MS/M Phil in Management Sciences and an MBA from UMT. He has conducted trainings on Research Methodology and Quantitative Data Analysis to different departments. Umer administered MBA professional evening program as a director for five years and currently acting as an adviser to the program.

Mr. Talha Zubair is a Lecturer of Management Sciences in UMT’s School of Professional Advancement. He holds an MBA from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Lahore. Talha conducts trainings on Teaching with Technology, Research Methods and Writing Research Proposals. He also is the head of the School’s Case Research Unit and his responsibilities include the development of teaching case studies.

Mr. Usman Zia is a lecturer in Special Needs Education in UMT’s School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Usman holds an M Phil in Special Education from UMT, an MA in Special Education from Punjab University, Lahore. His research interests center on inclusive education in Pakistan, with a focus on rural primary schools and challenges at the tertiary level for students with hearing impairments.

Mr. Imran Sadiq is Assistant Professor in the Marketing Department of UMT’s School of Business and Economics, and Director of Undergraduate Studies at UMT. He is a highly skilled business professional with over 14 years of experience in Customer Management and Business organizations with some of the best organizations in the world. He has also conducted training for the sales staff at Unilever Pakistan on retail planning.

Mr. Ali Chauhan is an Assistant Professor and Director of the MBA Global Management program in UMT’s School of Business and Economics. He holds an MBA in Management and a BBA in Business Information Systems from the University of West Georgia (USA). His research focus on innovation and innovative methodologies for higher education institutes and a dynamically changing teaching environment.

Mr. Sami Ullah Bajwa is an Assistant Professor in UMT’s Department of Management in the School of Business and Economics. He has done MS with Research in Entrepreneurship and SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) Management from Government College University, Lahore Pakistan. Mr. Sami Bajwa is a development practitioner and scholar, having a rich combination of over 12 years of experience of working with UNIDO, and SMEDA.

Ms. Sana Malik is an Assistant Professor in UMT’s School of Architecture and Planning.  She holds an MSc in Housing from the School of Housing, Building & Planning from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research areas include Housing, Urbanization, Community Development, and Architectural Design. Sana is working on formulating a housing research institute to promote studies in Pakistan on affordable housing through policies, projects, workshops, seminars and related activities.

Mr. Asher Ramish is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Operations and Supply Chain in the School of Business and Economics, and Director of UMT’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He has conducted numerous seminars and workshops in several academic and management training sessions in Pakistan in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Warehousing and Logistics Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making skills and Project Management.

Mr. Aly Raza is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Executive MBA Programs in the Department of Management in School of Business and Economics. He holds a Master’s in International Business from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. He has two decades of corporate experience working as a consultant & intervention trainer. He has delivered corporate trainings on Team Building, Negotiations, Leadership, HR Capacity Building, Strategy Frameworks, etc.

Mr. Rana Sahib has been appointed as Director eUMT to lead online learning, instructional technology and related areas. He holds several certificates in project management, information security, online learning/education and instructional technology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Franklin University and more.

Mr. Hamid Raza is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at UMT, Lahore. He has done his MPhil from FC College University. Hamid is a motivational and pedagogical trainer for ILM Colleges and Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at UMT. He has developed many training programs for young professionals, teachers and students. His motivational courses are aimed to make a difference in the thinking and attitude of the teachers and students.
