As lifelong learners, effective educators try to stay abreast with all the latest pedagogical tools as well as developments in their areas of scholarship. In these circumstances, it is imperative that educators and researchers continue to learn from experts in a range of academic fields. At UMT, we are fortunate to have specialists who can add significantly to our personal and professional growth by introducing us to different themes and concepts in different fields of interest. 

In this regard, CTL is starting a new program called ‘Learning Café’. This will include a series of sessions through which faculty members at UMT will be able to learn from the scholarship of their peers and seniors, increasing their own knowledge and adding value to their teaching as they deepen and broaden their intellectual horizons. The details of the first session of this program are as follows:
