Mentoring the Mentor

We are pleased to share highlights from the insightful session “Mentoring the Mentor” held at University of Management and Technology.

This engaging session was organized by Dr. Aisha Azhar, Dean SGS, in collaboration with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), bringing together academic leaders to reflect on the evolving role of mentorship in higher education.

The session featured distinguished speakers:

Prof. Dr. Sohail Asif Qureshi, Molecular Biologist from Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences

Dr. Aisha Azhar, Dean SGS – UMT

Their valuable insights emphasized the importance of empowering mentors, fostering academic growth, and building a culture of continuous learning within institutions.

Held on Friday, April 10, 2026, the session provided a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange and professional development.

Following the session, a follow-up meeting was held with the organizing committee, the Rector of UMT, Dr. Asif Raza, and the trainer to reflect on key takeaways, discuss outcomes, and explore future initiatives for strengthening mentorship practices at the university.
